About Dr. Bruno (We call him Dr. B around the office.)

Dr. B was raised in Santa Rosa and completed his pre-dental education at U.C. Davis. He received his D.D.S. from the University of California at San Francisco Medical Center. He practiced general dentistry in rural northern California (Modoc County) for several years, gaining a depth of experience in all facets of dentistry. Formal orthodontic education was then taken in the orthodontic residency program at the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry. Upon graduation as an orthodontist in 1990 he was awarded the Fredrick West Leadership Award by his peers. Dr. Bruno has practiced orthodontics as a specialty in Chico since 1990. In 1999 he became the first Chico orthodontist since the 1970s to achieve certification by the American Board of Orthodontics.

On the personal side, Dr. Bruno is married to Sarah and they have three grown children, Ben, Robert and Kate. His hobby interests include fly-fishing, landscaping, and aviation. He has been a private pilot for over 25 years. Dr. B coached youth basketball in Chico for 7 years. He also loves to develop his own recipes for hot and spicy foods.
