Diagnostic Records
Careful diagnosis and planning is a key to effective care. There are 4 basic components to the diagnostic records although special circumstances may require others.
Plaster diagnostic models are made from impressions of the teeth.

A digital panoramic film is made that shows all of the teeth and jaws. We use modern digital technology which allows us to reduce exposure in our films to a very low level while providing excellent quality.

A digital cephalometric film is made and analyzed. This allows Dr. B to evaluate the relationship between teeth, jaws, and facial appearance. All are important in planning for a good result.
After reviewing the diagnostic records, we will be ready to start treatment. If Dr. B’s review of the records results in a change in the recommendation from the one given at the initial visit, we may ask that you come in and review the changes and reasons for them.
