It’s a great time to be an orthodontist!
The combination of modern technology with time-honored fundamentals makes this a great time for orthodontists and our patients. It is our desire to maintain all permanent teeth whenever possible in orthodontic care for children. While it is occasionally best to remove permanent teeth, early detection and interceptive care may eliminate that need for some youngsters
There is no single method that is “right for everyone”. We will offer our best solution to your problem. If there are alternatives that are equally likely to produce an excellent result, you may have an option to choose between methods.

| Conventional braces are still a great option. But these are not your parent’s braces! They are smaller in every dimension which means they cover less of each tooth and “stick out” less from the tooth. This smallness in every dimension means they look and feel better than braces just a few years ago. Today’s braces also are capable of treating in less overall time with more time between visits. | |

Retainers: Removable appliances can sometimes be used to improve mild problems. There are some limitations but sometimes a little tweak is all that’s needed.
