Your First Visit

A thorough orthodontic examination often answers most of your questions. As a service to our referring dentists, we do not charge a fee for this visit.  It generally requires about 45 minutes in our office.  If the examination is for a child, Dr. B prefers to have a parent take part in the exam.  At this visit we are usually able to give you a good idea of:

 

• The orthodontic problem.
• The possible solutions (Braces, Invisalign®, etc).
• At what age the treatment should be started.
• How much time treatment might require.
• Cost of treatment.
• Expected insurance coverage and installment plans available.

In some instances, these questions cannot be answered completely until further diagnostic records are made.

If treatment is recommended but it is not yet the best time to start, we will set an observation time and then contact you for a follow-up visit.

If treatment is appropriate now, we will recommend the making of diagnostic records.
